On Monday night we had a severe Thunderstorm head through our area. This is some of the standing water on Tuesday morning.

This is a trench in the backyard that the draintile flows into. It's about 7-8 feet. The pipe for the draintile comes out pretty low in the hole, so any water above it is going to flow back into the house. The next pictures will explain what happens.

The sump pump ran for about 7 hours and most of the water is gone now. I'm just loving this midwest weather.
